Review: The Devil's Tattoo by Nicole R. Taylor

Title: The Devil's Tattoo
Author: Nicole R. Taylor
The Devil's TattooRelease Date: 1st September

Rating: 3 stars

The Highway to Hell or the Stairway to Heaven?

Zoe Granger picked up her first guitar the day her heart was smashed into a billion pieces. It was a way to keep her mind off her inevitable downward spiral, but music soon became her escape. She's been burned too many times to tell and is just happy to coast through life, never putting herself out there. That's until her best friend Dee suggests they start a band and suddenly she finds herself not just a part of it, but fronting the whole outfit.

They call themselves The Devil's Tattoo and when they release their debut EP, it rockets to the top of the charts and it's like an overnight fairytale. Contracts, photo shoots, royalties and interviews are heaped onto the shy Zoe and it's like she's finally found her place. Then comes the phone call that changes everything. They've been asked to co-headline a tour with one of the hottest bands of the moment, The Stabs and Zoe will never be the same again.

Will Strickland is one fourth of the hottest indie rock band to ever grace the airwaves. He's the bass player in The Stabs, hot as hell and could have his pick of any girl that flings herself at him. But he's only got eyes for Zoe and she has no idea why he'd bother. She's got one hell of a trust issue and an attitude to boot and Will seems to be the one who wants to tame her, but is he game enough?

The Devil's Tattoo and The Stabs go on the road and it's either going to be a highway to hell or a stairway to heaven. Only time will tell who will come out on top and Zoe's determined to do it without getting her heart broken… again

The Devil’s Tattoo totally surprised me, because in some way is like every other rock star romance story I’ve read, but still has a hint of uniqueness that I really appriciated. As much confused as I was Nicole R Taylor’s book did a great number on me. This unusual Aussie charm made my heart melt and Zoe & Will’s story was totally in Rock’n’Roll style, without being overwhelmed with every stereotype, which is another advantage.

This story is about Zoe, who is really lonely young woman. She has only one friend who believes her no matter what. After what happened with her ex, she build thick walls and stopped trying to really live. The only thing she looked forward was playing her guitar. Fortunately thanks to push from Dee, she becomes lead singer of The Devil’s Tattoo and starts to breathe again.
Will is bassist in another indie band. When he sees Zoe playing he wants her and her band on tour with them. He’s mesmerized by this beautiful woman who’s his siren. Now, he has to coax Zoe in believing she can love again.

"The Walls have gone up, the Walls have closed down
The Walls that you have built up
 Built up inside you"

I adored Zoe and Will’s juvenile crash, it was so unique as well as at times frustrating, but I could not help myself, and every time Will tried to make a move and started acting like a middle schooler my heart swell and I swooned.

I also loved Zoe and her rocker chick vibe! It was sexy as hell and I pictured her as singer of one of my favorite bands – Halestorm. After that idea popped into my head I couldn’t stop liking her more.

Eh, but unfortunately reading few another cliches in this type of stories made me gritt my teeth. I guess nowadays it really is hard to find new awesome ideas, that will knock my socks off.

Overall, despite minor issue , The Devil’s Tattoo is great read! I loved everything that made this book a little bit different especially Australia setting. It was nice and refreshing to see Aussie music and nice rocker girl with kick ass attidute. I collected this differences like gems. I only can wish they were more of them.

Review: Like Gravity by Julie Johnson

Title: Like Gravity

Author: Julie Johnson
Release Date: 26th August

Rating: 4 stars

Twenty year-old Brooklyn “Bee” Turner is no stranger to grief. After witnessing her mother’s brutal murder at age six, Brooklyn is guarded, damaged, and – by all accounts – a bitch. And that’s just the way she likes it, if it means keeping everyone at arm’s length.

When she stumbles, quite literally, into Finn Chambers – campus ladies’ man and the lead singer of a local band —she’s unprepared for his persistence in befriending her, and for the dangerous attraction she begins to feel for him.

Because with Finn, she knows it would be more than just sex.

More than just friendship.

And maybe even more than just love.

When a sinister presence from her past reemerges, Brooklyn will be pushed to her breaking point. For the first time in fifteen years, she will confront both her grief and her memories, as she plays a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with an unforeseen enemy.

Because sometimes, the demons we must confront aren’t only on the inside...

Like Gravity is one of this stories that pull you into the plot and never let you go. You are prisoned by amazingly well written story and sweet romance, every girl dreams of. I was really enjoying myself while reading Julie Johnson’s debut novel and I can’t wait for what she’ll come up with in the future. I laughed and I swooned while my heart was breaking for Brooklyn.
The story starts with 6 year old Brooklyn who was shopping with her mother. Unfortunately this usual trip to grocery store became terrible mistake. Bad time and bad place made them victims, Brooklyn’s mother was murdered while she was sitting in the car.

Now, Brooklyn is twenty and she can’t get pass her grief and nightmares. Every day is a struggle and fight with herself. Day after day of pretending to be normal made her bitter and bitchy. Broken and damged she doesn’t let people close to her, prefering to keep them away, where they can’t hurt her.

On the first day of her second year in college, Brooklyn has an accident invoving red hydrant and the sexiest man on campus. How bad her handsome hero isn’t Prince Charming or Knight in Shining Armor but total jerk.

Finn is everything a girl want to have in her bed. Hot, funny and lead singer of a band, Finn is definite heartbreaker and he’s more than fond of Brooklyn. From one accidental meeting to every day visit Finn is almost to hard to avoid.

Now Brooklyn has to fight of Finn and his charm, because she can't fall for anyone in fear of losing again.

This book is full of romance, suspense and surviving from grief. In Like Gravity past is really close to present, and Brooklyn has a hard time of letting go.
I immensely enjoyed reading Like Gravity, because it tugs on your emotions and the amazing love story make this book a great read. It’s fantastic novel that will leave your heart swollen and extremaly satisfied. This book will leave you with a wicked, fuzzy emotions all over your body. I just regret that for the millionth time I’ve read a book with similar male character. Another sexy lead singer with lot of groupies and all that jazz. Fortunately Finn has his own unique moments and I collected them like crazy. Nowadays I’m just looking for some more uniqueness in romance interests ;)

Despite the fact this book sounds like other New Adult reads, I was surprised by some twist and turns and this make me give this novel solid four star rating. I hope another novel by Julie Johnson will be as well written as Like Gravity and I also wish she’ll be able to come up with interesting and more refeshing characters.

Review: Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters

Title: Tears of Tess
Tears of TessAuthor: Pepper Winters
Release Date: 30th Auguts
Rating:  5 stars

A New Adult Dark Contemporary Romance, not suitable for people sensitive to grief, slavery, and nonconsensual sex. A story about finding love in the strangest of places, a will of iron that grows from necessity, and forgiveness that may not be enough.

“My life was complete. Happy, content, everything neat and perfect.
Then it all changed.
I was sold.”

Tess Snow has everything she ever wanted: one more semester before a career in property development, a loving boyfriend, and a future dazzling bright with possibility.

For their two year anniversary, Brax surprises Tess with a romantic trip to Mexico. Sandy beaches, delicious cocktails, and soul-connecting sex set the mood for a wonderful holiday. With a full heart, and looking forward to a passion filled week, Tess is on top of the world.

But lusty paradise is shattered.

Kidnapped. Drugged. Stolen. Tess is forced into a world full of darkness and terror.

Captive and alone with no savior, no lover, no faith, no future, Tess evolves from terrified girl to fierce fighter. But no matter her strength, it can’t save her from the horror of being sold.

Can Brax find Tess before she’s broken and ruined, or will Tess’s new owner change her life forever?

Enchanting, captivating, intriguing – Tears of Tess is dangerous, painful journey into dark corner of mind, were nothing is left unanswered.

Some books are like chocolate cake, they allure you and mesmerize you by unearthly, rich dark taste and even if you know it’s a bad idea to eat it and that probably you will regret eating it afterwards you still are enjoying it immensely. Every taste of it is magnificent, like a spoon closer to haven. Sumptuous.

That’s the case with Tears of Tess. It’s deliciuosly dark and gritty, and it’s slowly melting on your tongue giving you the best sugar high possible, despite the fact that there’s nothing sweet about this book. Reading every page and sentence gives you this amazing chocolate like flavor, which lingers days after you finished. And guess what? This aftertaste is even better, because it gives you tingles all over your body and makes you think. And there is nothing better than author who can make you think about a book days after you finished.

In nutshell, Tears of Tess is a story about young woman who lives normal life, just like us. Tess is twenty years old, attractive girl that has the sweetest boyfriend imagineable. But she has desires. Sexual cravings that are too dark and perverted for her vanilla boyfriend.

"I needed Brax to be rough because I needed to be claimed"

When they go on vacation to Mexico and Tess is kidnapped, she feels like it’s karma for her her kinky thoughts. Now she’s going to have exactly what she wanted, but not with Brax. She’s going to be sold and become sexual slave.

As a esclave she’s property of Maitre Q . Man who became her owner.

„You are mine. You are mine. Repeat that until it gets into your head. You cannot disobey. Unless…”A glint of interest smouldered in his eyes. „Unless you want to be punished?”

I want to hurt you.
I want to own you.
I want to devour you.
I want to make you mine.

Phenomenal sensuality and kinkiness is fantastically mixed with deep psychological aspect of D/s relationship as well as painful case of slavery. I loved how easily two sides of Pepper Winter’s novel blend together. Every sex scene is created perfectly. They’re kinky and extremely erotic, but still done with great taste.

What is the best way, the best words to describe a book that is almost undescrieable? Reading a review of Tears of Tess it’s a poor experience when it’s compared to reading this novel. No matter how many gloryfinig words I will use none of them will give you a closer look on this compelling, outstanding story that will make your heart bleed as well as give your perverted side a kick. There is no possiblity of telling how many emotions will be sinking into your mind and heart while reading it. I only can tell you that I loved it with every fiber of my being with hope you’ll pick it by yourslef and give yourself a chance on riding the most dangerous, overwhelming with emotions rollercoaster.

Review: Origin by Jennifer L Armentrout

Title: Origin (Lux Series #4)

Author: Jennifer L Armentrout
Release Date: 27th August
Rating:  5 stars

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

Origin is the most action packed book in Lux series! It’ll leave you breathless, panting and begging for more. Jennifer Armentrout striked again with her witty sense of humor, amazing plot and sexiness that oozes from the pages. And now that we have badass Daemon’s point of view this series started to really rock! I was slightly disappointed while finishing Opal few months ago and I was afraid of not being able to truly enjoy Origin, but thank God it was not the case!

Daemon needs to rescue his Kitten. There is no one and nothing that could stop him. He will do everything to have her again in his arms, even if it means being trapped with her.

Katy is alone with the enemy. Captured and unsure about her future, she feels the need to fight, because DOD can’t break her or can they?
Now, both of them have to fight to be together and finally find out what’s really going on.

While Obsidian was my all time favorite in Lux series, because of the fact I love when couple gets together, (after that it’s really hard to get my attention), Origin just rocked my world, because this book, never gets too slow or boring. Every chapter, every page has a thing that makes you oh and ah or make WTF faces.

It’s really hard to write something without giving away spoilers. Origin really is mind blowing and keeps you on your toes to the last second. From sensual and heartwarming part of Katy and Daemon’s relationship, to the fast paced plot filled with action and even more action, there is not a moment to slow down.

I enjoyed the great humor and bad ass Daemon’s attidute that probably will never change, which makes me love him even more. I also found another yummy boy to crush on, Archer’s really ascinating new character that made me drool a little bit.

Overall, Origin is a must read for Lux fans. It’s kick ass novel, that really changes opinions and is over the top amazing.

Review: Two Roads by LM Augustine

Title: Two Roads

Author: LM Augustine
Release Date: 26th August
Rating: 5 stars

The only person poetry-loving Cali Monroe hates more than herself is Logan Waters, the geeky kid who lives in the dorm building next to hers.

Ever since Cali's parents told her she would amount to nothing, she has felt entirely inadequate. Friendless and alone, she takes on the mean girl role in hopes it will make her feel better--and Logan serves as the perfect target. He infuriates her with his obnoxiously long lashes, his all too perfect dimpled smile, and his complete lack of personality outside of his intelligence. It doesn't hurt that he's part of the reason her brother is dead, either. So Cali hates him, and he returns the favor. Thus, their prank-filled, insult-driven rivalry is born, and torturing Logan quickly becomes the highlight of her life.

But when Cali's parents set them up on a blind date, she begins to realize Logan might not be as boring as she always thought. He shares her love of poetry, takes a sadistic pleasure in making fun of crepes, and he makes her blush when he calls her smile pretty.

And hey, maybe those long lashes of his aren't that obnoxious after all…

Two Roads is New Adult Romance about finding love, standing out, and learning to embrace who you are. It contains some language and mild sexual content.

I’m wowed. I’m physicaly and mentaly living in this book, breathing it and thinking about it all the time. It’s definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year and it can’t be passed up. Deep emotional aspect of this novel is equal with witty and sarcastic part. I laughed, I cried, I yelled and cussed. Two Roads is absolutely heartbreaking while being the funniest book ever. I love it when I randomly pick up a book when I know almost nothing about it and then I’m blown away. This is a story about Logan and Cali. Story that will break your heart, make you swoon, laugh hard and feel many different emotions.

Cali is broken and damaged, despite the fact it’s been 4 years after her brother died, she still cannot let him go . She blames everyone, especially herself for his death, so now she’s pretending to live like normal twenty year old, while sulking and reading poetry. She’s pretending to be mean, popular girl that hooks up every night with different boy and is full of hate.

"I don't mind being called a bitch. Being a bitch means I'm strong. Being a bitch means I'm surviving, and sometimes that's all I can do : I survive."

So when after 3 and half years of not seeing each other, Logan is back in the same college as she and Cali feels it’s her obligation to make his life hell. She hates him for not helping Ben and giving up on her when she needed him the most. As her brother’s best friend he should have done something, he should have been there for him and her. But he wasn’t and no that he’s back to all his nerd self, with his weird glasses, T-shirts, math textbooks and obnoxious eyelashes. She hates him. Hates that he can live normally, laugh with his friends and study. She hates his hair, glasses, eyelashes and so on, every reason for loathing him is good.

„So I hate him. I hate him for ruinning my life. I hate him for not blaming himself like I blame myslef for what happened. I hate him for moving on with his life, when no matter how hard I try, I just can’t"

She insults him, breaks into his apartment, destroys his things, writes him hateful emails and notes. And he’s doing the same. Prank for prank, insult for insult, hurtful thing for hurtful thing. They are enemies, rivals.

„It’s on, the gesture says, and Logan just smiles.
“Loser,” I continue, trying to sound as cold and calm as possible.
“Heartless freak,” he shoots right back.
“Dickhead.”
“Asshole.”
“Bastard.”
“Jackass.”
“Guy no one wanted.”
“Girl whose parents hate her.”
His friends keep jerking their heads back and forth between us. “Idiot.”
“Jerk.”
“Imbecile.”
“Moron.”
“Asshat.”
“Oaf.”

This book is phenomenal! It connects hearbreak with sarcasm, love with hate, fun with deep emotions. The writing is perfect, so freaking good I couldn’t stop reading! And the poetry that is a great aspect of this book is beautiful. I can’t find words to describe how much it affected me.

Two Roads is one of this stories that wrench your guts and change you as a person. I loved it. It’s everything I needed and I wish I could forget about what I’ve read only for a chance to read this again and feel this for second time. I don’t know, what else to write to make you pick up this book, because it’s a novel that deserves reading again and again. I would hate it if one of my friends passed up opportunity to read it. So give yourself a great gift and start this amazing journey of blame, guilt and loneliness, where love and hate are the same.

Review: Tall, Tatted and Tempting and Mini Short Review of Smart, Sexy and Secretive by Tammy Falkner

Title: Tall, Tatted and Tempting (Reed Brothers #1)

Author: Tammy Falkner

Rating:  5 stars

She’s locked up tight. But he might be the key.

Logan Reed is tall, tatted and tempting.
Kit’s a woman with a mean right hook and a secret.

Kit wants a tattoo, but Logan sees more than she intends to share in the drawing of the tat she wants. He sees her in ways no one ever has.

Logan’s not disabled; but he hasn’t spoken in eight years. He hasn’t needed to.
Until he meets Kit.

Logan doesn’t know everything about Kit. Kit doesn’t know anything about herself,
until she has to sacrifice all she ever wanted to save what’s most important to him.

This book is not meant for individuals under the age of 18 due to adult language, adult sexuality and adult situations.

I’m so glad I finally read Tall, Tatted and Tempting! It was everything I needed right now and I did knock my socks off. From painfully heartbreaking to amusing and passionate it blew me away. Why didn’t I read it right after it was released? I still can’t believe I waited so long to do so. I admire Tammy Falkner work and from this point I will be impatiently waiting for her books. I am seriously going to become her fan and stalker number 1.

Anyway, back to the story that swept me away, Tall, Tatted and Tempting is fabulous! Great unique concept and phenomenal way of telling the story of two so different people made this book AMAZING. I couldn’t stop reading it till I finished, and after that I started sequel Smart, Sexy and Secretive and finished in mere hours.

Logan is stunning male character. I fell in love with him on the first page. He’s strong and tatted which makes him incredibly sexy, and what’s more he feels perfectly normal, never finding excuses because he’s deaf. Which makes him even more sexy. Hotness just oozes from him! Well he’s kind of man whore, never caring about women he sleeps with, so when Kit comes to his tattoo parlour to get a tat and punches him so hard his nose bleeds he’s smitten.

I also adored Kit. I absolutely want her to be my friend (if she really existed). Strong, independent, fierce and talented. The fact that she’s on the run and homeless made me want to give her a hug and help her in every way possible.

What’s more I loved Logan and Kit together. One of the best couples I’ve read about this year.

Overall, I immenesly enjoyed Tall, Tatted and Tempting. Author has done fantastic job at creating such realistic story, that so easily blends together heartbreak, passion and great sense of humor.

Emily

I'm back in New York, ready to start my brand new life with Logan. Things are still up in the air between us, and it has been three months since I've even talked to him. But there's one thing I'm certain of -- I can't live without him.

Logan

I need her like I need air. But now she's back, and her dad and her ex-boyfriend are conspiring to keep us apart. We can do this, though. Can't we? We can make this work? We have to, because I can't imagine my life without her.

I’ve started reading Smart, Sexy and Secretive few minutes after finishing TTT, which totally made my day. This books are ideal halves of amazing story that made my heart beat faster and changed my face to the one similar with Joker’s. That’s how much I grinned, while reading it. I enjoyed it immensely and I hope Tammy will surprised me in other books as well. I hope will get to read a story of every Reed Brother and I can’t wait to open Matt’s story, he totally deserves happily ever after.
It’s very quick read and I devoured it. Every page is filled with what I love the most.

Review: Price of a Kiss by Linda Kage

Title: Price of a Kiss
Author:Linda Kage
Release Date: 15th August
Rating: 5 stars

*new adult romance*
**explicit scenes and language**

I don’t care what my cousin says; I am not the queen of impossible relationships. I mean, just because my last boyfriend tried to kill me and left a bit of a scar on my neck, then forced me to move across the country and legally change my name to Reese Randall to escape him, does not mean—

Oh, who am I kidding? For a freshman in college, I have to have the worst dating track record ever.

It’s no wonder love is the last thing on my mind when Mason Lowe enters my life. But the chemistry between us is like bam! Our connection defies logic. And he’s just so freaking hot. Being around him makes me feel more alive than I’ve ever felt before. I even like bickering with him. He could be my soul mate...except for one teeny tiny glitch.

He's a gigolo.

Boy, do I know how to pick them.

My excitement about this book is still present despite the fact I finished reading it hours ago, books like this remind me exactly what I adore in New Adult novels and why I started reading them in the first place. The Price of Kiss is definitely one of the best NA books I’ve read this summer. Sexy, funny and extremely romantic story, Price of Kiss knocked my socks off and blew my mind. Linda Kage created cute and heartbreaking novel full of hilarious and passionate moments that made me laugh and tingle in anticipation. Pure perfection!

The story follow Resse Randall who flew across the country to hide from her psycho ex-boyfriend. She starts attending community college, where she meets Mason Lowe, and instantly feels attraction toward him, but mind you, it’s not book with insta love. Mason is not a boy for her, especially because he’s a gigolo. As sophisticated prostitute he’s treated poorly. Every woman sees him as a whore and nothing more. Reese knows he’s off limits but something in him pulls her toward him.

Mason is phenomenal hero, I couldn’t help but fall in love with him along with Reese. He’s a keeper, that have hard time in his life. He’s tangled in web of responsabilities that are thigting around him. My heart ached every time he spoke about being a prostitute for cougars. Reese is the only one who sees him as human and not something for sale. That’s why Mason and Reese quickly develop amazing friendship, that is the sweetest and the funniest relationship I’ve ever read about.

This book is awesome! I don’t know how differently describe it. It’s just hooked me and never let me go. When I finished last page I had chesire cat grin on my face and at the same time I wanted to cry it ended so soon. I wanted more! As much as I loved the ending I hoped there would be more.
Overall, Price of a Kiss is so good it could be stunning Hollywood movie. This is a perfect story for romance junkies, it will give you the best thrill possible! Now I know I have to read every book by Linda Kage and I’m quickly going to do so. I can’t believe someone so talented didn’t catch my attention sooner!

Interview with Cassandra Giovanni author of Love Exactly

Few weeks ago I had amazing opportunity to read & review Love Exactly by Cassandra Giovanni. You can read my review  here. Now, I can welcome this talented author here in my humble, small, indie loving blog. She was sweet enough to answer few of my questions.

Title: Love Exactly (Sticks and Stones #1)
Author: Cassandra Giovanni Release Date:  June Rating: 4 stars
Emma Walker was a writer who'd lost herself to someone else's anger--who had given up on ever feeling like herself again.
Evan Levesque was a rock-god--the one all the woman wanted, but he'd never gotten used to the loneliness between the stage and real life.
With just one cup of coffee they'll begin a journey of self-discovery at each others sides, but can Emma handle Evan's fame while dealing with her own demons? Emma's checkered personal past, a bad relationship that haunts the edges of her memories, threatens to make everything implode on them when Evan takes matters into his own hands.
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but your words...they'll destroy my soul--Can Emma handle being put back together and facing who she's become because of it?
GENRE: New Adult>Contemporary Romance
Mild to moderate sexual content

Interview with Cassandra Giovanni:

1.       Could you please tell us something about yourself?

I'm a marketing major--professional photographer, writer and I work a full-time job at as a Retail Banking Operations Manager at a community bank. I've been writing forever, and I've been published since I was seven. I've published four novels total, and I don't ever plan on stopping! I hope to one day be a career writer, and own my own marketing company for publications.

2.       Why did you choose to write rock star romance?

I never set out to write a rock star romance. I simply started writing and that's the way it turned out. Evan is pretty much my husband--except in a pop-rock band instead of a metal band...and well, famous.

3.       Describe your book in few sentences.

Two people meet an an unlikely situation and are able to help one another see their strengths and rise above the things that threaten to tear them down.

4.       What is the hardest part of writing?
Finding the time to actually sit down and do it.

5.       What is the best part of writing?
Writing--it's everything that I love. I can't think of one thing that I don't like about writing from creating a story, to editing, creating covers, marketing it and publishing.

6.       What are you currently working on?

I'm working on a series called Beautifully Broken, which will have two novels Flawed Perfection and Broken Perfection.
Flawed Perfection:
Bobby Beckerson was the American All-Star hockey player--he was the spitting image of perfection to his family. Goofy, sweet and undeniably gorgeous, he had everything but the one girl he wanted: River Ahlers. River Ahlers is successful in everything but love. She's been in love with Adam Beckerson since they were kids. Worst of all she's stuck right in the middle of the brother's dueling over everything and anything, and she doesn't even know she's the ultimate prize.
Adam Beckerson was a boy with a guitar, a smile that sunk girl's hearts and a stone wall around his own. He was anything but perfect, and no matter how hard he tried he was nothing compared to Bobby. Sweet, damaged, with boyish good-looks, no body thought Adam loved anyone but himself.
Bobby loved River, River loved Adam and Adam only loved himself--or so everyone thought. Then one night everything changes, and as it threatens to destroy everyone involved a tragedy strikes that will break them all...

Broken Perfection:

Three years ago I walked away from the only man I'd ever loved. I left him an empty shell, shattered by a tradegy that broke us both. Now I'm living but barely breathing. Everyday I become less and less whole, consumed by guilt and pain. I live with each agonizing breath, but my hearts not beating. I pretend I'm happy, I smile on cue, but then when I'm about to say yes-to give into living a lie forever, there he appears again. I can't run any longer even if he's still lost at the bottom of a bottle. I'm lost. Barely breathing. Then his touch brings me back to life, but can we forgive one another when we've broken perfection?

7.       Why did you decide to not put sex scenes in Love exactly?

There are sex scenes in Love Exactly, three actually. They are not graphically descriptive, but they do make it obvious that they are having sex. I refer to it as "clean steam".

8.       When will you release sequel?

Summer 2014

9.       How did you come up with idea for Love Exactly?

I was writing a dark paranormal romance, and needed a break from it. It was the first book that I wrote from cover to cover--in order. I started with the coffee scene and went from there.

10.   What’s your favorite book and why?

Emma by Jane Austen. I love her sense of humor and perspective on human nature.
